DBGS uses a skills assessment day to allow for coaches to properly assess individual player capabilities and to help ensure teams within the same division are equally matched.  Although often referred to as "tryouts", all eligible* girls have the opportunity to participate on a team at DBGS.

The skills assessment consists of each player taking a few swings at pitches from a calibrated pitching machine, fielding some balls, and (if the player is so inclined) demonstrating her ability to pitch.  Teams are selected via a format draft which is held for each division on a date subsequent to tryouts.

You and your daughter will be contacted by her coach in short order after the draft is complete!  Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
